Complex infrastructure nanotechnology platforms in Russia
Many experts link the possibility of rapid science and technology development of Russia and its accelerated overcoming of the dependence on raw materials export, first of all, tack with progress of nanotechnology.

System for assembling and encapsulating of monolithic UHF chips
Technology of low-temperature co-sintering ceramics (LTCC) is a high-technology inexpensive solution for assembling and encapsulating of monolithic UHF chips. Materials used at creation of such devices have to meet the requirements to low UHF losses: high strength and linear size tolerances, competitive prices. The article considers the Ferro A6 material system for the LTCC technology. The main physical and electrical characteristics are presented, comparison of different metallization systems (gold, silver, mixed) is given.

Systems for air purification in microelectronic production
Different gases and chemical compounds are often used in technological processes of microelectronic production. The major part of these substances are aggressive and toxic, therefore their release into the atmosphere after treatment is forbidden. The issue of purification of the air used in the course of production is becoming a serious engineering problem requiring specific solutions and equipment.

Nanotechnology for improvement of medical equipment quality
Improvement of quality of medical equipment and tools remains pressing. For example, the weight of a wheelchair determines adaptive possibilities of persons with reduced mobility, and the increasing level of requirements to a patient`s safety and comfort form rather severe conditions for production of medical tools.

Mechanical properties of carbon composite materials
Carbon-fiber composites are the most promising materials for application in friction discs of aviation and car brake systems. Due to high strength and wear-resistance, enhanced thermal stability and other characteristics, these materials are actively replacing friction polymers and cermets used before.
The work presents results of investigation of the relief and local mechanical properties of carbon-carbon composite materials using the scanning nano hardness meter.

Titanium dioxide nanostructures with different morphology
One of the most topical tasks is creation of thin films with preset properties. The variety of methods of their obtainment can be explained by the different chemical nature of film-forming substances and the materials they are applied on, conditions of the article usage. The most interesting object is titanium dioxide films synthesized by different methods and applied using the processes on a solid body surface.

Highly oriented pyrolytic graphite
Highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) is widely used in science and nanotechnology. The data on the structure of the HOPG surface are systematized in the article. Dependence of the surface structure on the mosaic spread value is shown. The article contains classification of major surface defects.

Microbicides with nanostructured polymer surface
Аccording to estimates by the World Health Organization, at the end of 2008 there were about 33.4 million people with human immunodeficiency virus. The same year about 2.7 million people became newly infected, and 2 million people including 280 000 children died from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). The work presents a method of protection from viral infections with the help of nanomaterials-based microbicides, as altering nanostructures` characteristics, we can provide to materials new properties differing from the properties of the bulk material. The possibility of creation of microbicides using polymer nanostructured surface and nanoscaled carbon film is considered. Heterocycled derivatives of fullerene C60 are used as an additional possibility of controlling surface properties. It should be noted that the presented results have both scientific and social significance. It is shown that nanostructured polymers can be used to create microbicides, agents that can reduce the risk of HIV disease.

Clarifying antireflection nanocomposite coating
Metal-dielectric heterogeneous composites possess optical characteristics vastly different from those usually found in natural materials. In a nanocomposite material with silver nanoparticles the small refractive index n<1.3 can be observed at low absorption, which allows to apply single-layer coatings on its basis to reduce reflection from light glasses, polycarbonate, PMMA and other optical materials with refractive index less than 1.7. In this article the design and calculated optical characteristics of such a coating are presented.

Handbook of microscopy for nanotechnology
In October 2011"Nauchny Mir" published translation of the English encyclopedia "Handbook of Microscopy for Nanotechnology”. More than 50 recognized leaders of the modern microscopy became the authors of the book. The book presents about the basic methods of optical, scanning probe and electron microscopy. It contains various examples of microscopy application in practical nanotechnology.

New equipment for semiconductor sequencing genome DNA
A new approach to analysis (sequencing) of nucleic acids is presented. The technology is realized in a compact device for genetic researches based on a semiconductor platform and method of hydrogen ion detection. One multi-sequencing chip is used in this work. The system is easy to operate and it does not contain optical modules and moving parts. The device allows sequencing in the range from small targets up to large genomes in any laboratory.

Useful model is really useful
The article is intended for patent experts and designers. The title is such, because it is very important not only to set up a problem, but also to show ways of its solution. It is also necessary to reduce a gap between an patent expert and designer.
