Microscopy in clinical diagnosis. Detection of particles of nanometer size
The most well-known in the scientific sphere methods of observation nanoparticles are electron and scanning probe microscopy. Shungite. Structure and properties of the mineral
Shungite is a natural sorbent, intermediate product between amorphous carbon and graphite. Shungite’s carbon is a fossilized fullerene-containing matter of organic bed deposits of a high level of carbonization. Shungite mineral has a wide spectrum of interesting properties. It allows to hope for new areas of this mineral application.

Nanosilica: increase of concrete strength
The article demonstrates feasibility of application of nanoadditives for improvement of the mechanical characteristics of a concrete. One of the ingredients of such additives is sol of silicon dioxide from a hydrothermal solution. Together with a plasticizer this sol is added to the mixing water before preparation of concrete.
