The paper presents the analysis of the production market of microelectronic components and compares production technologies based on GaAs and GaN and their capabilities for expanding the operating frequency range of products. Besides, it analyzes the advantages and emerging problems when using microwave MIС in the production of microelectronics. A comprehensive solution for microwave MIC production modernization has been prepared.
